Cougar golf team working hard

The Cougar golf team hosted the teams from the River Ridge District last week at Thorn Spring Golf Course. At the end of the day the young Cougars finished in sixth place out of the seven teams in attendance.

 

Owen Bright of Cave Spring High School took the top spot individually on the Par 72 course with a score of 71. Blacksburg took the overall team title with a combined score of 310.

 

Cave Spring took second with a score of 315. Salem and Hidden Valley each turned in scores of 320. Patrick Henry finished the day at 332. The Cougars finished with a 372 total. Christiansburg finished last at 390.

 

Individually for the Cougars, Bay Moore finished at 90. Campbell Moore ended the day with a 91 and Anderson Moore earned a 95. Noah Burchett was the final Cougar listed with a score of 96.

 

The Cougars are scheduled to be back in action Monday, March 22, when they travel to Hunting Hills Country Club to face Cave Spring.
