PMS receives AEP teacher grant

Pulaski Middle School is among a dozen Virginia schools to receive AEP Teacher Vision Grants from Appalachian Power. Appalachian is a division of American Electric Power (AEP).

The grants, announced Tuesday, provide $100 to $500 in funds to teachers for use in enriching their classrooms. More than $13,000 was awarded to educators in Virginia and West Virginia — two states served by AEP. Virginia educators received $7,800.

“These grants are designed to reward the talents and creativity of pre-K through grade 12 educators devoted to motivating youth to think creatively, to step into leadership roles and to address the challenges of the future,” said Chris Beam, Appalachian Power president and COO.
