Wishing we were fishing

When things shut down, you still need something to keep you busy. For Pulaski resident Lee Hill that usually means fishing. Lee doesn’t just go to normal spots, however, as he looks for out of the way spots to wet a line. One of the most overlooked bodies of water in our area for fishing is Peak Creek and some of the other small waterways. While the rain was falling recently, Hill decided he wanted to get outside anyway. He caught this dandy largemouth bass in Peak Creek inside of the town limits. He reports that while normally the fish he catches in these smaller bodies of water aren’t monsters, this is a fine example of what you can find if you work hard enough. He caught this fish on a spinnerbait, but it took quite a while to get him to bite. Lee said he would love to see more places in town for young people who can’t always make it out to the lake to fish and feels that fishing is a great activity for everyone.
