Kitty Windle Tolbert

Kitty Windle Tolbert, born July 11, 1935, of Dublin, Va., went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2019.

Kitty was a longtime employee of Burlington Mills in Dublin, Va., with whom she made many lifelong friends. Kitty had a huge heart and would do anything for you if she could. She was a master gardener and had a great love for dogs.

Kitty was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney “Doc” Tolbert; parents, William Frank and Gladys Windle of Draper, Va.; brothers, William Floyd Windle, Ray Windle, Oscar Windle, Arnold Windle, and sisters, Ellen Horton and Thelma Adams.

Kitty is survived by her sister and best friend, Molly “Bee Gee” Duncan; two sons, Stuart (Janet) Dale of Newport News, Va., Arnold Dennis (Michelle) Windle of Hubert, N.C.; grandchildren, Jennifer (Rick) Myers of Gloucester, Va., Kevin Windle of Newport News, Va., Keith (Jordan) Windle of Midlothian, Va., Desmond Windle of Hubert, N.C.; six great-grandchildren; her dedicated caregiver and niece, Sandy Wyatt; special friend, Sam Poole, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family is receiving friends 5-6:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, at Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski, Va. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at Draper Valley Pentecostal Holiness Church, Draper, Va., with Pastor Mike Ingo officiating. Interment follows at Draper Valley Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.
