Man charged with setting apartment fire



A Fairlawn man who jumped from his burning apartment early Sunday allegedly started the fire.

Pulaski County Sheriff Mike Worrell said Bradley Clayton Kellum, 39, is charged with arson and causing more than $1,000 in property damages — both felonies. He says the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.

Deputies responded to the structure fire at 7394 Lee Highway around 12:10 a.m. Sunday. Upon arrival they found Kellum, who had jumped from a second story window to escape. The officers then cleared two other tenants — a male and his younger daughter — from the building.
