Four Lady Cougars listed on All-RRD list

Two seniors, a junior and a freshmen were listed among those selected to the 2019 All-River Ridge District girls soccer team this week.

 

Freshman Brooke Arnold was named as a second team forward. She is joined by Catherine Thacker of Cave Spring, Julia Johnson and Michaela Weber of Christiansburg, Shelby Marlman and Annie Bond of Salem, Paige Sanchez and Makayla Metzler of Hidden Valley and Kayla Monaghan and Morgan Cheynet of Blacksburg as the forwards on the team.

 

The first and second team midfielders include Toni Perkins and Macey Harder of Cave Spring, Louisa Prillaman of Patrick Henry, Skler Prosser and Eva Moeltner of Blacksburg, Julia Brown and Mollie Poff of Hidden Valley, Jamie Adams of Christiansburg and Haley Woodward and Dylan Copeland of Salem.

 

The first and second team defenders are Tayler Schindler and Abigail Rutigliano of Cave Spring, Carly Walden and Haley Bragg of Christiansburg, McKenna Habeeb of Salem, Mari Garza and Julia Howland of Blacksburg, Lily Poff and Kayla Fedison of Hidden Valley and Camryn Koviak of Patrick Henry.

 

The first team goal keeper was Katie Evans of Salem. At second team is Kinsey Verbrugge of Blacksburg.

 

Junior Bailley Nash of Pulaski County was selected as an honorable mention at the keeper position. Senior Paige Hopkins was selected as an honorable mention on defense and senior Alicia Noble was an honorable mention as a midfielder.
