Karl Oscar Polson

Karl Oscar Polson, age 75, of Pulaski, Va., died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2018, at Pulaski Health and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born in Massachusetts Aug. 8, 1943, and was the son of the late Marguerite Elvira Olson Polson and Erik Oscar Polson. He was a retired teacher of agriculture at Pulaski County High School.

He is survived by his lovely wife, Shelby J. Polson; two sons, Richard Polson (Beth) of High Point, N.C. and John Polson of Wake, Va.; two stepsons, John Booth (Delia), and Mark Booth (Tammy); stepdaughter; Patricia Grimmett (Less); two brothers, Herb Polson of Plymouth, Mass., and Erik Polson of Chelsea, Vt.; five grandchildren, Taylor, Emily, Whitney, Madelyn and Carter. He is also survived by his precious rescue dogs, Happy and Stormy.

Funeral services are Friday, Sept. 7, 11 a.m., at Trinity Baptist Church, 4008 Robinson Tract Road, Pulaski, Va., with the Rev. Johnny Howlett officiating. The family is receiving friends Friday, 10-11 a.m., at the church.
