The Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce hosted a breakfast get-together Tuesday to recognize and join forces with the current elected officials in Pulaski County.

Members of the Pulaski County School Board, Pulaski Town Council, Dublin Town Council, Pulaski County Board of Supervisors and other members of Pulaski County government gathered at the Pulaski County visitors center for breakfast while discussing upcoming issues and plans.

Chamber Executive Director Peggy White welcomed everyone and thanked them for their attendance, and then began to explain the Chambers’ plans for 2018.

“We’re excited about the future and all of the positive things we see coming for Pulaski County,” White said. “We’re looking forward to working together with all of you to help move our hometown in a positive, forward direction.”

After her remarks, White invited Pulaski County Administrator Johnathan Sweet to talk about some of the plans and goals the county has on the horizon.

“Pulaski County is a great place to live, but we want to make it an even more desirable location for new families,” Sweet said. “This is an exciting time. We have new industries looking at Pulaski County as a possible home. With the new middle school coming soon, our public school system is going to get even better. We’re looking at industry leaders like Volvo to partner with our schools in ways that help us sent better prepared workers into the workforce. We want industry leaders to see Pulaski County as not only a very affordable option for opening new buildings and businesses, but also a good source for workers.”

“We have plenty to offer here in Pulaski County,” White said. “The best news, however, is that we’re growing. We expect 2018 to be a special year.”
