NRCC offers associate degree in police science

New River Community College’s two-year police science program prepares students to work in the criminal justice field or transfer to a four-year college after completing their associate degree.

NRCC graduate Savannah Wilson enjoyed the college’s police science program because it gave her the flexibility to work full time and still pursue a degree. She earned an associate degree in police science this summer.

“Having a strong family background led me to the decision to pursue law enforcement. I want to be able to make a difference for a family when times are tough,” Wilson explained.
