CHRISTIANSBURG — Two suspects wanted in a Saturday night murder in Montgomery County have been located — one in critical, but stable, condition in a North Carolina hospital, according to police.

Capt. Brian Wright with Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said second-degree murder warrants have been obtained against Amanda Barbara Nichole Taylor, 24, of Christiansburg, and Sean Edward Ball, 32, of Blacksburg. They are accused of killing 59-year-old Charles E. Taylor of Christiansburg.

Charles Taylor was found dead at a residence at 846 Den Hill Road in the Ellett section of Montgomery County after police received a call of a possible homicide there around 9:30 p.m. Wright said the suspects are “acquaintances” of Charles Taylor.

According to Wright, both suspects were located Sunday in North Carolina. He said Amanda Taylor was apprehended by North Carolina Highway Patrol and is being held in McDowell County Jail awaiting extradition back to Montgomery County.

Ball was “located separately” in a hospital in North Carolina, Wright said. Ball was said to have a life-threatening injury, listed in “critical, but stable” condition. He, too, is awaiting extradition.
