Mariners win third straight game

The Pulaski Mariners won their third straight game against the Bristol Pirates 11-7. Pulaski’s resurgent offense set a new season high mark for runs in a game with their win at Bristol.

Daniel Thieben (1-0, 3.86 ERA) earned the win for the Mariners. He relieved starter Taylor Byrd with two outs in the fourth inning. Thieben allowed two runs on four hits over two innings.

The Mariners managed 15 hits over the nine innings. Catcher Carlton Tanabe paced the offense with a perfect four-for-four showing. Additionally, Tanabe drove in three.

Taylor Zeutenhorst and Jay Baum combined to go four-for-ten with four runs batted as Pulaski’s seven and eight hitters.

Bristol’s Dan Urbina (0-2, 10.32 ERA) received the loss for his efforts. Urbina went 2.1 innings and gave up seven runs, five earned.

The Mariners now travel to Kingsport, TN. for a three game series with the Kingsport Mets. First pitch is scheduled for 6pm.
