Harrell ordered to repay stolen money

A former cheerleading coach received a 10-year suspended sentence Thursday after pleading no contest to embezzling funds from the squad.

Under a plea agreement with the prosecution, two of three counts of embezzlement were nolle prosequi (not prosecuted with the option to re-file) and Angelia Paige Harrell, without admitting guilt, didn’t contest evidence would be sufficient to result in a conviction on one count.

Special prosecutor Erin DeHart, Bland County’s commonwealth’s attorney, said the theft was essentially one continuous act of embezzlement, so two of the counts were not prosecuted.

So a white lady steals $50,000 and gets no jail time. But a black lady gets 6 months for $5,000. it’s pretty clear to me who benefits from the “justice system”. No wonder so many people don’t want to live in Pulaski County. Don’t hold your breath waiting for her to repay the money either.

Don’t be fooled or foolish Ridiculous. It’s everywhere not just in Pulaski Co. (Remember OJ Simpson’s trial?) So don’t down where we live. You have the choice to move it you don’t like it here.

Wow, steal 50k and slap on wrist. I guess crime does pay. What did she do with the money? Take every thing she owns, at lest till the 50k is gotten back. What kind of judge let her out almost scott free? I think she did not need a great lawyer, just a great judge. For her anyway. If I was a thief like her I would be sipping tropical drinks on a south Pacific island about right now.
