Revocation hearing on hold pending appeal



A decision on whether a convicted sex offender has to serve additional prison time on convictions from more than 30 years ago will have to await the outcome of an appeal of a new conviction.

A “show cause” warrant was issued for James Edward McPeak, asking why McPeak should not have to serve all or a portion of prison time suspended on 1979 convictions for rape, forcible sodomy (two counts), abduction (two counts) and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
