Council moves to authorize Joint Dispatch Agreement



After nearly a year of consideration, the Pulaski Town Council made a decision to authorize the recently finalized Joint Dispatch Agreement, giving Mayor Jeff Worrell and Town Council Clerk Trish Cruise permission to execute the documents.

The agreement would push progress forward for a Joint 911 Dispatch center, which would consolidate the emergency dispatch centers in the town and county. This consolidation could cut down on efficiency and safety concerns posed with the current centers.

According to Town Manager Shawn Utt, the Pulaski County Board of Supervisors acted on the agreement during their most recent monthly meeting on Monday, April 28. He added that concerns that were raised by both the town and county attorneys have been addressed in the agreement’s final version.
