Albert Gwynn ‘Buddy’ Kahl

Albert Gwynn “Buddy” Kahl, age 85, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014 at LewisGale Hospital-Pulaski. Born Nov. 3, 1928 in New Albany, Ind., he was the son of the late Albert and May Procter Kahl.

His daughter, Mary Jo Hardin, stepbrother, Roger Kahl and stepson, Randy Widner, also preceded him in death.

Buddy was a chemist for Valspar and Lilly of North Carolina having done contracting work with Pulaski Furniture Company in Pulaski for many years.

Surviving are his special companion, Betty Sadler of Pulaski; children, Stephen “Steve” Kahl and wife, Debbie, of Clarksville, Ind., Debbie Lewellyn, Greg Kahl, Ronnie Kahl, Suzanne Mitchell, and Dale Kahl, all of Indiana, Jonathan Kahl of Hillsville, and Candy Moore and husband, Jimmy, of Pulaski, stepson, Roger Widner and wife, Becky, of Hickory, N.C.; 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, two great, great grandchildren, four step grandchildren, four step great-grandchildren, six stepbrothers and three stepsisters.

A memorial celebration will be held Wednesday, May 14 from noon to 8 p.m. at the home of Donna and Sammy Carpenter, 271 Brim Lane, Barren Springs, VA 24313.

    I knew buddy for about 37 years he was a very good man sorry for ur lost no he will be missed
