World music makes a stop in Pulaski County

Todd Green, a uniquely talented multi-instrumentalist who performs on over 30 acoustic string, flute and percussion instruments from all over the world will share is talents with Pulaski County at different venues April 7 through 12.  Green has a custom-built electronics system, which allows him to layer instrument sounds as he plays, turning him into a high-tech one-man-band of world music in a concert featuring original music inspired by more than half a dozen cultures in the Middle East, Asia, South America, and Africa.

Green’s artistic mission is to “help bring down the barriers that divide us by experiencing other cultures through their music.” He studied composition, arrangement and performance at Berklee College of Music and privately with jazz guitar legend Mick Goodrich at New England Conservatory of Music, as well as with Grammy Award winning guitarist Pat Metheny and international recording star George Benson. He has also taken master classes and workshops with guitar greats such as Christopher Parkening.
