William James “Bill” Brodie

PANAMA CITY, Fla. – William James “Bill” Brodie, 83, of Panama City, Fla., and formerly of Dublin, passed away Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013.

Bill was born in New York City June 11, 1930 and lived in Panama City for 40 years. He graduated from Dublin High School and retired from the Air Force as a Tech Sergeant after 22 years of service. He loved all sports, but FSU football was his passion. Bill and his wife, Beth, enjoyed camping, traveling and spending time with their family and friends.

In addition to his wife of 37 years, Bill is survived by five children; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 20, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Virgil Tillman officiating. Interment with military honors by USAF Honor Guard followed at Garden of Memories. The family received friends at the funeral home Thursday, Dec. 19.
