Mariners win again

The Pulaski Mariners won their fifth game in a row after a rough start, taking down the Bristol White Sox on the road 3-0.


Right hander Jose Flores earned his second win on the mound going 5 1/3 scoreless innings.  Pulaski used four relief pitchers, who combined for 3 2/3 innings of perfect work, in the win.  Emilio Pagan earned his second professional save, pitching the ninth inning.

The bats were hot for the Mariners again, with eight different players collecting a hit.  Wilton Martinez led the was, going 2-for-4 with one run scored.  Gabe Franca sent 1-for-3 with a walk, a run scored, and two stolen bases.

Tonights game will get underway at 6 p.m., with Edwin Diaz starting on the mound.  Diaz has not allowed a run this season in his two starts.

    It would help while listening to the Pulaski Mariners on line if the background noise could be reduced. The music in the stadium at Princeton and the pubic address announcer while the play by play person is describing the game.
