Lauda Stanley Ogle

Lauda Stanley Ogle, age 87 of Christiansburg, and formerly of Pulaski, died Tuesday May 14, 2013 at LewisGale Hospital-Pulaski.  

She was born on Feb. 18, 1926 in Laura, Ky., and was the daughter of the late Tilda Jude Stanley and Corbett Stanley.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lafayette Weston Ogle; brothers, Walker Stanley, Ira Stanley, Robert Sartin, and Floyd Stanley; sisters, Myrtle Fields, Margie Miller, Bertha Stanley, and Gertie Stanley.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Hall and her husband, Kenneth (Ken), of Christiansburg; brothers, Hayes Stanley and his wife, Causby, of Prichard, W.Va., the Rev. Wallace Sartin of Pilgrim, Ky., and Lloyd Sartin and his wife, Opal, of Morehead, Ky.; a sister, Margaret Simpkins and her husband, David, of Sunbury, Ohio. She is also survived by a granddaughter, Wendy Hall Covington of Christiansburg; a great-grandson, Erik Weston Covington of Christiansburg, and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Dr. Knotresha Stewart, Dr. Donald Yoder, and the nursing staff of LewisGale Hospital-Pulaski, for their kindness and support.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 17, 2 p.m., at Seagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Marcus Harrison officiating.  Entombment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin.  The family will receive friends Friday at the funeral home from noon until 2 p.m. with services to follow in the chapel.

    barbara, so very sorry to hear about your mom,as i think i told you i did have my back surgery on the 24th of april and haven’t even got to get out of the house yet! after talking to you the last time at the hospital i knew you where not expecting her to make it very much longer! just remember that you had done all you could to provide for her and take care of her! you like me much have a awesome husband, being away from home so much, my marty never ever complained when i was away so much!
    Please know iam thinking of you and i had been watching the newspaper checking to see if she had passed, she was such a sweet lady with a very sweet smile and will be smiling alot now in heaven

    Barbara, just wanted to let you know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I know how much you will miss Lauda. She was a very sweet person. She will be missed by all.
