BAKER, Thomas Graham-web

Dublin town attorney Thomas “Tommy” Baker Jr. was arrested last week in Pulaski County on a charge of intoxicated driving.

According to court records, Baker was arrested near Morehead Lane by Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office Deputy E.L. Queen on one count of driving under the influence of alcohol and refusal to take a blood-alcohol or breath test.

Besides being appointed by Dublin Town Council as its town attorney in 1992, Baker also is a former member of the Virginia General Assembly, where he served for 1990-2000. He has been teaching paralegal studies at New River Community College since 2002.

He was released from custody on personal recognizance and is being represented by David Warburton, who serves as town attorney for Pulaski.
