| Willis, Richardson unite in marriage (12-01-2008) Sharon Rebecca Willis and William Allen Richardson united in marriage on October 18, 2008, at Cambria Baptist Church in Christiansburg, Va. The honorable Pastor Dusty Etter presided over the ceremony. A reception followed at the church fellowship hall. Sharon is the daughter of John Rex and Martha (Becky) Willis of Pulaski. She is the granddaughter of Sara A. Martin and the late Douglas A. Martin of Pulaski and the late John Avery and Ruby N. Willis of Pulaski. William (Bill) is the son of Jessie Lee and Shelby Jean Richardson of Christiansburg. He is the grandson of the late Frank Harrison Fisher, Jr. and Sarah Frances Fisher of Christiansburg, and the late Virginia C. Richardson of Christiansburg. Serving as matron of honor, sister in law, Vikki Richardson Christiansburg. Bridesmaids were dear friends: Ruby Wilson (at work mom), Wytheville, Vicki Akers, Christiansburg, Nancy Hardymon, Parrott, Patty O’Neil, Pulaski. Miss Olivia Dickerson, cousin of the groom, attended the guest book. Kay Dickerson, aunt of the groom, provided photography. The groom’s party included co-best men, David Richardson, Christiansburg and Craig Hixon, Roanoke. David is the brother of the groom and Craig is a life long friend. Groomsmen included Lindsey Akers, Christiansburg, Doug Ashworth, Christiansburg, Tony Epperly, Christiansburg. All of which are long-time friends and former softball teammates of the groom. A special thanks to our dear friends that lent their talents to our day. The beautiful flowers were created by Hollie Weiss of Pulaski. Katy Porter provided a delicious three-tier wedding cake, Redskins grooms’ cake and two other beautiful sheet cakes. We would like to thank all our family and friends for coming to share our special day with us. After the honeymoon in Myrtle Beach, S.C., the happy couple are residing in their new home in Christiansburg, Va. |
