Mitzi Kae Wellman and David Anderson Hale were united in marriage on October 25, 2008, at half past four o’clock at First Presbyterian Church in Pulaski, VA. The Reverend Jeff Kackley officiated. The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Richard Wellman of Park City, UT.
The bride is the daughter of Linda Wellman of Cedar Hills, UT.
She is the granddaughter of Warren and Pearl Nield of Cedar Hills, UT.
She was the recipient of admission to The Julliard School and has performed domestically and internationally as a professional harpist.
The groom is the son of Kathy and Eddie Hale of Pulaski, VA. He is the grandson of the late Dave and Jane Wall and the late Bill Hale, all of Radford, VA. He is also the grandson of Nancy and Charles Flippo of Melbourne, FL.
He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and McIntire School of Commerce and currently works as an associate for Thayer Hidden Creek, a private equity firm based in Washington, D.C.
Kristi Nield of Tustin, CA., cousin of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Arlene Bancroft of Provo, UT., friend of the bride, Ashley Hale of Pulaski, sister-in-law of the groom, and Mary Elizabeth Hale of Charlottesville, sister of the groom.
Eddie Hale, father of the groom, and William Hale, brother of the groom, served as best men. Groomsmen were Zachary Crowe of Washington, D.C., Bryan David of San Francisco, CA., Clovis Draper of Dublin, Daniel Goff of Pulaski, Adam Rhodes of New York, NY. and Christopher Terwilliger of Roanoke.
Richard Raith Hale, son of the couple, served as ring bearer.
The wedding was directed by Sharon Owens of Pulaski.
A reception followed at the Pulaski Country Club, simultaneous with Virginia Tech’s loss to Florida State and the University of Virginia’s victory over Georgia Tech.
After a honeymoon cruise to Aruba, the Hales will reside in Washington, D.C.
