Whitney Erin Lindsey and Jacob Andrew Hodges were married on June 17, 2006 at The Rockwood Manor in Dublin, Virginia. The Reverend Pat Coffee officiated the ceremony. The wedding was directed by Sarah Bryant.
Whitney is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Lindsey of Pulaski. She is the granddaughter of the late James Lindsey and Velma Lindsey of Galax and the late William Roy Edwards of Woodlawn and surviving grandmother Dorothy Edwards.
Jacob is the son of Lt. Col. and Mrs. Claude Andrew Hodges Jr. of Fayetteville, NC. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Andrew Hodges Sr. of Roanoke and Mr. and Mrs. Wilber Ferguson and Mrs. Bernice Ferguson of Boons Mill.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. The maid of honor was Maggie Kirk, friend of the bride. The bridesmaids were Suzanne Stauss, Kara Hodges, Georgia Puopolo, Shannon Edwards, Sara Martin Wright, Jody Spraker, and Leigh Ann Houser.
The best man was Brandon Lindsey, friend of the groom and brother of the bride. The groomsmen were Jeff Bona, Michael Munton, Aaron Furman, Johannes Bosch, Tom Deary, Jon Bryant, and Brandon Gregory.
The flower girls were Hayley Lawrence and Elizabeth Duncan. The ring bearer was Dalton Joyce. The book was kept by Carrie Sage Lindsey. Photography was by “Kandids by K”. The wedding cake was made by Lori Edmonds and flowers were done by Susan Lindsey and Main Street Flower Shop.
The reception followed immediately afterwards at The Rockwood Manor with music by Aaron Furman. The bride and groom had their first dance to “Steady as she Goes”. The couple honeymooned in Negril, Jamaica. The Hodges currently resides in Raleigh, North Carolina.
