| Bowyer, Dunford say wedding vows (11-05-2007) A small garden under a large oak tree in Forest was the setting for the October 13, 2007, wedding of Audra Leane Dunford and Troy Will “Bo” Bowyer. The double-ring ceremony took place at two in the afternoon and was officiated by Rick Dellinger of Bedford. Dellinger also was the soloist. The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father and given in marriage by her parents. The bride is the daughter of C.C. and Dreama Dunford of Dublin. She is the granddaughter of Eileen Averhart of Blacksburg, and the late Bennie Everhart; and the granddaughter of Sadie Dunford of Waynesboro, and the late Clarence Dunford. The groom is the son of Lawrence and Bonnie Bowyer of Forest. He is the grandson of the late Eli and Adell Castle of Abingdon; and the late Elmer and Rochie Bowyer of Cornwall. The matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Amy Crouch of Bedford. Bridemaids were the groom’s sister, Susanne Bowyer of Charleston, S.C.; the groom’s niece, Hannah Bowyer of Bedford; and the groom’s cousin, Michelle Bowyer of Falls Church. The flower girl was the bride’s niece, Stephanie Crouch of Bedford. The best man was the groom’s father. Groomsmen were the groom’s brother, Mark Bowyer of Bedford; and the groom’s uncles, Lester Bowyer of Millboro, and Wilford Bowyer of Gum Springs. The guest book attendant was the bride’s aunt, Debra Averhart of Blacksburg. Photographers were the bride’s uncle, Roger Averhart of Blacksburg, and the groom’s aunt, Mary Ann Bowyer of Vesuvius. Her husband Mike was the videographer. The groom’s parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at Carol’s Place in Forest. The bride’s parents hosted a reception at the Knights of Columbus Center in Forest. The cake was created by Diane Wilson of Bedford. The DJ was “Rockin’ Rich” of Lynchburg. The floral creations were by Tom Manning of Blacksburg. The bride is a 1997 graduate of Pulaski County High School. She is employed by Golden Corral of Lynchburg. The groom is a 1987 graduate of Jefferson Forest High School. He attended Central Virginia Community College in Lynchburg. He is employed by the City of Bedford as an engineering technician in the Engineering Department. After a wedding trip to Williamsburg, the couple is residing in Forest. |
