Myers, Snapp are wed

Emily Paige Myers and Adam Penn Snapp were joined in the promise of marriage on Sunday, September 2, 2007 at four-thirty in the evening at Selu Nature Conservancy of Radford University in Radford, Virginia. The beautiful outdoor ceremony was officiated by Pastor Mike Honaker. The reception was also held at Selu Nature Conservancy and hosted by the bride’s parents.
The bride in the daughter of Mary Rakes Myers of Dublin, Virginia and Clifford Carl Myers of Pulaski, Virginia. She is the granddaughter of Alma and Rudolph Carl Myers of Pulaski, Va. and Violet and the late Sidney E. Rakes of Dublin, Va.
The groom is the son Ronald and Patricia Snapp of Newport News, Virginia. He is the grandson of Penn and Hilda Snapp of Newport News, Virginia and Ruth and Blackie Todd of Virginia Beach Va.
Emily was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. Mary Rakes Myers, mother of the bride, served as matron of honor; and Melissa Dorothy Beal, of Wilmington, North Carolina served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Ruth Perry Deibler of Vinton, Va.; Lori Gwen Walters, sister of the bride, of Floyd, Virginia; and Catherine Marie O’Quinn of Manassas, Virginia.
Ryan Monk, of Newport News, Virginia, served as best man. Groomsmen were Jarrod Allen Moorefield, of Newport News, Virginia; Brian Deibler of Vinton Virginia; Sean Cunningham of Newport News, Virginia and Patrick Helton, of Greensboro, North Carolina. Jeremy Blount, cousin of the groom served as ring bearer and flower girl was Sydney Elizabeth Goad escorted by Douglas Tres Johnston, both cousins of the bride.

Readers were Meredith Bender of Newport News, Virginia; and Julian Close of Portsmouth, Virginia. Program Attendants were Lacey Morgan Goad, cousin of the bride; and Haley Walters, niece of the bride. Music for the ceremony was provided by Yong Choo Ko of Richmond, Virginia.

Following a honeymoon to Clearwater Beach, Fl., Savannah, Ga. and Charleston, S.C. the couple resides in Norfolk, Virginia.
