MRS. HELEN CHURCH FLOYD (01-04-2007)
BARNESVILLE - Mrs. Helen Church Floyd, age 85, of Barnesville passed away Friday, December 29, 2006 at Spalding Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Floyd was born in Smythe County, Virginia on July 5, 1921 to the late Finley Alexander Church and the late Anna Marie Lucille Church. Mrs. Floyd was preceded in death by her husband John Rufus Floyd. She formerly worked at Duranie’s Clothing Co. and was a member of the Saint John Lutheran Church. Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Ann Floyd-Hardin and Wayne Hardin of Griffin, Martha Floyd of Barnesville, Marilou Floyd-Hooks of Barnesville; 4 grandsons, Patrick Dalton of Bassett, VA., Ryan and Amy Johnston of Bremen, GA., Jonathan Hooks of Athens, GA., Logan Hooks of Auburn, AL; great-grandchildren Kinsey Madison Johnston, Jacob Ryan Johnston; 7 nephews and 4 nieces. Funeral services for Mrs. Helen C. Floyd were conducted on Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at Saint John Lutheran Church. Interment will be held 2pm Friday, January 5, 2007 at Staunton National Cemetery in Staunton, Virginia. Conner-Westbury Funeral Home, 1891 W.
