Attend After Prom party, win a car

Pulaski County High School students who participate in this year’s After Prom party will have a chance to win a Nissan Sentra.
The car is part of the 22nd annual car giveaway sponsored by Roanoke Area Youth Substance Abuse Coalition (RAYSAC). Each year, more than 90 high schools across the region – from Martinsville to Bath County and from Lynchburg to the West Virginia border – participate in the car giveaway.
Four students who stay at their parties all night are selected from each high school to participate in the giveaway event. One student from each school is then selected to choose one key from a group of keys, but only one key will start the vehicle. The student, who successfully starts the car, gets to keep it.
This year’s metallic blue Nissan Sentra was donated by First Team Auto Mall.
In addition to the car, other prizes, such as mountain bikes and electronics are offered as incentives for students to stay at their parties all night.
The car and prizes will be given away at Valley View Mall on Sunday, June 6.
