Fire destroys unoccupied Valley Road house

Fire destroyed an unoccupied home off Valley Road early Monday.
Pulaski Fire Chief Bill Webb said his department was notified of the structure fire at 925 Valley Road at 2:29 a.m. Monday. He noted the structure was “heavily involved” in fire when they arrived on the scene a short time later.

Webb said the house, valued at $30,000, was a total loss.
The residence was not occupied at the time, but is owned by Sean Cizi, according to Webb and Fire Marshal Chip Hutchinson. Hutchinson said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
No one was injured.
Webb said Pulaski Fire Department responded with five pieces of equipment and 21 firefighters.
Draper Fire Department responded with its tanker and six firefighters.
Others assisting at the fire scene included Regional Emergency Medical Services Inc. (REMSI), Pulaski Police Department and American Electric Power.
Pulaski Fire Department was back in service at 7:40 a.m.
