Get out your boogie shoes for a rockin’ concert

Oldies, rock and roll and rhythm and blues will return to the Pulaski Theatre Saturday, Nov. 28 when the newly reformed Big Blues Beat from Dublin take the stage.
Keith Chinault, Chuck Dodson and Bill Smith formed the band in 1995. They played concerts all across Virginia and released four CDs before splitting up in 2002.
The Big Blues Beat reformed this year with Chinault on drums and vocals, Smith on bass and vocals, and Larry Frost on guitar and vocals. They hope to begin work on a new CD.
Playing 60’s soul, blues, 50’s rock and roll, rockabilly and “other forms of root music,” the Big Blues Beat draws its inspiration from performers such as Muddy Waters, B. B. King, Wilson Pickett, Sam & Dave and Chuck Berry.
Tickets for the concert are $8 in advance or $10 at the door.
They are available at Coffee Buy the Book, Martin’s Pharmacy or online at www.pulaskitheatre.org.
The box office will open an hour before the 7:30 p.m. concert.

n The Old Pros Saturday, Jan. 9 at 7:30 p.m.; and
n Route 66, a nationally-touring live musical comedy, Tuesday, Feb. 23.
