You’ll be able to experience the nostalgic, high-energy grandeur of the two-lane ribbon of highway when the hit musical comedy revue “Route 66” takes the stage at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Pulaski County High School Little Theatre.
Tickets for the one-show-only presentation, which features 2009 PCHS graduate Devin Altizer, are still available at the Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley, Martin’s Pharmacy, The Southwest Times and the Pulaski County Visitors Center.
General admission tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Reserved seating is $25. Tickets for students with valid Pulaski County school ID are $15.
The musical features four guys singing and dancing their way “through Saint Looey; Joplin, Missouri; and Oklahoma City is mighty pretty; you see Amarillo; Gallup, New Mexico; Flagstaff, Arizona (don’t forget Winona); Kingman; Barstow; San Bernardino.” The performers offer a mix of familiar songs along with lesser-known gems, ranging from The Beach Boys to country and, of course, “Get Your Kicks on Route 66.”
The musical is a Springer Theatrical production, and is sponsored by the Fine Arts Center.
