YEA!, offered by the Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce, provides students with the opportunity to launch their own, fully-operational business. The students’ foray into the business world was showcased this week with presentations to a panel of investors in Rooker Auditorium at New River Community College.
The panel awarded more than $2,200 to the young entrepreneurs, and selected the one business that advances to the Saunders Scholar National Semifinal Competition in May at Rochester, N.Y. At the national level, students compete for college scholarships, a fast-track application pass to apply to be on ABC’s УShark Tank,Ф and an all-expenses paid trip to attend America’s Small Business Summit in Washington, D.C., courtesy of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
