By CALVIN PYNN firstname.lastname@example.org The Shelor Motor Mile presented two $1,000 scholarships to 2014 Pulaski County High School graduates this year. The recipients for this year are Brandon Dunford and Eric Pannell, according to Shelor’s marketing and public relations coordinator Blair Hoke. Shelor presented 10 scholarships to high schools throughout the New River Valley. These scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors who excel academically and plan to attend a college, university or technical school upon graduation. Scholarships were open to all students, regardless of career ambition. “Thank you so much for the $1,000 scholarship award,” Pannell said. “This money will help me greatly as I begin the next phase of my education.” Shelor Motor Mile has provided $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors in local high schools for over a decade and since its inception has provided over $130,000 to local students pursuing higher education.
