An estimated 2,600 Appalachian Power Co. customers, primarily in the town of Pulaski, will be without power for about eight hours beginning Sunday, Aug. 17.
APCo spokeswoman Teresa Hamilton Hall said power will be out from about 9 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday morning to allow line workers to “safely perform maintenance” at distribution facilities.
Customers to be affected will receive a recorded message Wednesday, advising them of the impending outage, said Hall. The outage will affect residential, commercial and industrial customers.
In the event of inclement weather, the work will be rescheduled and customers will be notified of the new date and time. Customers having questions are asked to call APCo at 1-800-956-4237.
