Recently members of the Executive Board of Nu Chapter, New River Coordinating Council, IOTA State, The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International met in the Dublin home of their immediate past president, Ruth Ann Sloop Whitener, for lunch and to prepare for the upcoming biennium with its new president, Janice G. Woodward. Many ideas were discussed and explicit plans were made. It promises to be an exciting two years of “Lifelong Learning,” Nu Chapter’s new theme.
Those present besides the hostess were Janice G. Woodward, president for 2014-2016, Mary Beth Glenn, recording secretary, Carla B. Hallstead, treasurer, Judith M. Barr and Brenda E. Waller, past co-presidents. Their first meeting of the new biennium will be Tuesday, Sep. 9, 4:30-6:30 pm, in the Charles and Ona B. Free Library Community Room in Dublin. Sisters will bring a covered dish to share, their red DKG folders, and their favorite children’s book. We will be meeting in committees during that evening. If there are any past members who are interested in rejoining, please come and join with us! “Lifelong Learning” is for us all!
