A course in “Industrial Robotics Programming” will be offered this fall at New River Community College in Dublin. Classes meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This introductory course guides students through programming simple robotic procedures such as sorting and object manipulation using state of the art FANUC training robots. Students will also learn on full-sized industrial robots.
Other major course topics include robot classification, work-cell sensors, end-of-arm tooling, familiarization with the servo robot system, point-to-point programming, robotic modules and safety procedures. There is no pre-requisite for the course.
Registration is in progress. Fall classes begin Aug. 25.
