Judge: ‘You’ve already had a chance’

A Pulaski man who asked for “one chance” to turn his life around, will have to serve five years in prison for violating conditions of probation.

“You got a chance when you were put on probation, didn’t you?” Pulaski County Circuit Court Judge Marcus Long Jr. asked Richard Lawrence Lake Jr. Lake was brought back to court Monday for violating probation on convictions of obstruction of justice, malicious wounding, distribution of cocaine and conspiracy to impede a witness.

According to Commonwealth’s Attorney Mike Fleenor, Lake violated probation by receiving another conviction (child abuse) and for having a positive test for use of cocaine.
