The Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley is preparing to bring their annual Menagerie Exhibition back later this month.
The exhibition will be on display at the Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley Monday through Friday from Aug. 25 through Oct. 5. Admission is free.
“Menagerie has always been one of the most popular shows at the Center for the public, that’s why we keep doing it/” said Judy Ison, Fine Arts Center director. “It gives the practicing artists an opportunity to try out new styles, and it gives the Sunday painter a chance to show their work to the public.
“There are no judgment calls, themes or restrictions on the show, so everyone is sure to find something they like or that interests them,” she added.
All two-dimensional work must be properly framed and ready to hang. Three-dimensional pieces should also be prepared for public display.
There will be a $5 entry charge per piece, and a limit of two pieces per person. Work must have been completed in the past two years and not exhibited at the Fine Arts Center before.
The deadline to submit artwork is 4:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22. Those wishing to enter the exhibition can do so by calling the Fine Arts Center at (540) 980-7363, or stop by the Center at 21 W. Main St., Pulaski.
Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
