Pulaski County Humane Society (PCHS) is teaming up with the Pulaski Mariners Saturday, Aug. 23 to present Canines at Calfee. The Mariners will play against Elizabethan. Community members are invited to bring their dogs to the game and see all the dogs up for adoption from the Pulaski County Animal Shelter.
The first 25 dogs to enter the Park that night will receive a complimentary blue bandanna from PCHS, the Mariners, Flying Fur and Quality Pro Home Inspections. As a safety requirement, all dog owners must present proof of rabies vaccination before entering the park. Anyone in need of a copy of their pet’s rabies certificate can obtain one from the veterinarian who administered the vaccine, according to the PCHS.
“Canines at Calfee provides dog owners with the perfect opportunity to bond with the special pooch in your life. It’s also a chance for us to showcase some of our shelter dog favorites. Though dogs in the homeless shelter go outside every day, getting to go off the grounds and socialize with the public is a real treat for them. Come visit them during the game,” said Candice Simmons, executive director for PCHS.
The game begins at 7 p.m. with the gates opening at 6. For more information call 674-0089 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
