An Abingdon man was killed Thursday night when he was ejected from a vehicle that overturned on Wysor Road (Route 100) in the Draper area.
Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Jeff Saunders said James Ramsey Flournoy Jr., 65, was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene of the 8:30 p.m. crash.
The investigation determined Flournoy was northbound on Wysor Road in a 1995 Chevrolet pickup truck pulling a utility trailer when the truck ran off the right side of the road. Flournoy over corrected, causing the truck to cross the road, hit an embankment and overturn, according to Saunders.
In addition to the sheriff’s office, Draper Fire Department and REMSI also responded to the scene in the 2700 block of Wysor Road. The wreck remains under investigation by Deputy C.A. Moore.
