With summer in full swing, children and adults are flocking to the water. Unfortunately, if they don’t know how to swim, a simple attempt to cool off can turn into a tragedy.
To help keep the summer safe, Hensel Eckman YMCA in Pulaski is accepting students, ages two and older, for two sessions of swim lessons. The first session runs July 7-July 30 and the second, Aug. 4-Aug. 21. Sessions consist of a total of eight 30-minute classes.
Lessons are held on Monday and Wednesday evenings between 4 and 6. Swimmers are tested and placed in groups with other swimmers of a similar skill level.
Sessions are $45 for YMCA members and $55 for non-members. For more information, call the 980-3671.
Hensel Eckman YMCA is at 615 Oakhurst Ave. in Pulaski.
