A man and woman were arrested Tuesday evening when the local drug task force searched their mobile home on Lee Highway in Pulaski.
Bethany Flora, 34, and James Phillippi, 51, were both charged with felony counts for possessing the chemicals used and conspiring to manufacture methamphetamine.
Members of the drug task force raided the home based on an ongoing narcotics investigation, according to Sheriff Jim Davis. Investigators discovered a small amount of methamphetamine and numerous items used to manufacture the drug when executing a search warrant at the residence around 5:30 p.m. on July 1.
Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted the drug task force, which consists of officers from the Pulaski Sheriff’s Office, Pulaski Police Department, Dublin Police Department, Virginia State Police and Wythe County Sheriff’s Office, according to Davis.
Flora and Phillippi are currently being held in the New River Valley Regional Jail without bond.
