The Radford Public Library will celebrate local authors this weekend on the Glencoe Museum grounds in Radford with the Radford Reads Literary Festival.
According to Toni Cox, the library’s director, the inaugural event will include readings, storytelling, children’s activities, and music. Well-known authors such as Charlotte Rogan and Jan Neuharth will read their work, while Bill Lepp and Wally Scott will tell stories.
Radford-based bluegrass group The Java Brothers will perform during the literary festival. Over 20 local authors will also give presentations and host workshops throughout the day, as some of the topics will include Women and Stories, Stories of Appalachia, Stories of the Outdoors, and more.
