The Pulaski YMCA will host some special events starting this week, which will continue on through the rest of the summer.
According to a newsletter sent out earlier this week, the YMCA’s Mariner’s week started on Monday. Several players from the team will be visiting the center throughout the week to sign autographs and “show off their skills” in the childcare center.
In a turnaround event of sorts, this Thursday night will also be YMCA night at the Mariner’s home game at Calfee Park. Discount tickets will be available at the YMCA’s front desk before game night at $4 per person.
For every ticket purchased, $1 will be donated to the scholarships for the children’s program at the YMCA.
Recently the Pulaski middle School Orioles Unplugged event was held at the YMCA, as the weeklong program provided students with a week full of fun and games. According to the newsletter, the children got to participate in activities such as kickboxing, Zumba, weight training, and spin classes.
This past week, the RU women’s basketball team hosted a clinic at the YMCA for summer camp kids, as they taught them the fundamentals of the game.
