Following the announced resignation of former band director Daniel Wilner last week, Pulaski County High School has appointed 2003 PCHS graduate Matthew M. Shrewsbury to take his place for the upcoming school year.

According to new PCHS Principal Michael Grim, the decision to hire Shrewsbury as the new band director is pending final approval from the Pulaski County School Board.

Shrewsbury earned his Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. He later earned his Masters of Secondary Music Education from Coastal Carolina University in Conway, SC.

He served as the Director of Bands, the Director of Athletic Bands, and the assistant conductor for the symphonic band at Coastal Carolina University.
