MONTGOMERY COUNTY — A Christiansburg man was airlifted to a Roanoke hospital Tuesday after sustaining a serious foot injury in a motorcycle crash in Montgomery County.
According to Deputy Mark Hollandsworth of Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the 33-year-old man apparently lost control of the 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle “due to dragging a foot peg while negotiating a curve.” He said no charges are being filed.
The victim, whose identity was not released, received a “compound foot injury and road rash,” the deputy said. The man was airlifted to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, but a condition report could not be obtained without his identity.
The motorcycle was a total loss.
