The Pulaski Fire Department responded to a structure fire call shortly before 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 20, according to Pulaski Fire Chief Bill Webb.
The residential structure, located on Evens Street off Mt. Olivet Road in Pulaski, was heavily engulfed in flames once fire crews arrived, and the roof had partially collapsed. The building was valued at $40,000, and declared a total loss.
No injuries were reported, as the building was unoccupied at the time of the fire, Webb said. The Fire Department was back in service just a few hours later, as they finished extinguishing flames just after 3 a.m. on Monday, July 21.
The Pulaski Fire Department responded with 23 firefighters, along with three fire apparatuses. Dublin and Draper’s fire departments assisted as well, bringing more manpower as well as tankers.
The Newbern fire department also helped put out the blaze, along with REMSI and Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
