Franklin Paul Morris, age 88, of Veterans Hill Road of Pulaski, Va., passed away Monday, July 21, 2014 at the Pulaski Health & Rehab Center. Born April 21, 1926 in Winston Salem, N.C., he was the son of the late Clive Morris and Sarah Saul Morris. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during
World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Havens Morris of Pulaski, Va.; daughters, JoAnn Hypes of Dublin, Va., and Dana Marie Bishop of Draper, Va.; sons, Danny Ray Morris of Radford, Va., and Robbie Allen Morris of Dublin, Va.; stepdaughter, Betty Wilson of Dublin, Va.; sisters, Dorothy Simpkins of Radford, Va. and Judy Harrison of Georgia; brothers, Marvin Morris of Christiansburg, Va., and J.T. Morris of Shawsville, Va.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday 2 p.m., July 24 the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with the Rev. Danny McGlothlin officiating. Interment will follow in Newbern Cemetery with military honors conducted at the graveside by the Pulaski VFW Post# 1184.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 1-2 p.m. at Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski, Va.
