The Southwest Times would like to welcome its newest staff member, Jennifer Wade. Wade is a graduate of Ashford University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication.

She comes to the newspaper from her previous position with Positive Radio Group (PRG) in Blacksburg where she was responsible for preparing radio shows, voicing and producing commercials and voice tracking.

Before her position with PRG, Wade was a stay at home mother to her five children.

Wade is also a self-published author of two Christian fiction novels. Her interests include music and theater, and she participates in both on a regular basis.

Wade volunteers with the Dionysis Theater Group in Pulaski and is active in her church as a musician and teacher. She also reads to the residents of the Commonwealth Assisted Living facility twice a month.

Wade is a native of Pulaski County and resides in Newbern with her husband, Todd, and five children, Rebekah, Seth, Regan, Natalie and Emily.

“Jennifer’s only been here for a week, and she’s already showing a lot of potential. I have a feeling that many good stories from her are in store for the future,” said reporter Calvin Pynn.

We welcome Jennifer to The Southwest Times and she can be reached at 540-980-5220 or jennifer@southwesttimes.com.
