During the sultry mid-summer days of July, parents often wonder how to keep the kids engaged and entertained. Floyd’s Jacksonville Center for the Arts will host an Art Camp this July, giving parents a way to keep the kids engaged and entertained.
According to the Jacksonville Center’s Development Coordinator Lee Chichester, children between 8 and 14 years old will have the opportunity to engage in directed creative play with new and exciting activities and teachers. Those activities range from finger-painting and pasting construction paper to fabric collages, mosaics from reclaimed materials, gourd sculpture, batik, and more.
The Art Camp will run from Monday, June 14 through Friday, June 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
