ABINGDON – The Appalachian Spring outdoor recreation initiative of Friends of Southwest Virginia are gearing up for the first annual Southwest Virginia Outdoor Expo on September 13, at Heartwood: Southwest Virginia’s Artisan Gateway in Abingdon.
According to Becky Nave, of the Southwest Virginia Cultural Heritage Foundation, this will be a unique opportunity to be part of a regional effort that supports the regions communities with outdoor recreation as a catalyst to enhance the creative economy in the region.
This is the first of its kind in Southwest Virginia, said Nave.
